Whaea Koryna comes to our class on Wednesday afternoons to help us with our Te Reo Maori. This week we played some stick games. We did quite well for our first attempt:
We have started our Japanese artwork - cherry blossom branches. So far we dyed our paper blue with a white circle to represent the sun. Then we blew brown paint across the paper with straws to make interesting branches. It was fun! Next week we are adding pink cherry blossoms to our branches.
At assembly we had some exciting visitors from Zirka Circus. They amazed us with their flexibility and strength. Sky and Te Kawana both received free tickets to the circus when their names were pulled out of the Blue Card box. We can't wait to hear all about it on Monday.
We have been making paper mache masks for our waiata performance on Thursday next week. We started them with Mrs Miller three weeks ago. They took ages to dry but we finally got to paint them this week.
